Guaranteed Entry Pathways for current undergraduates
A Guaranteed Entry Pathway is one way for you to be guaranteed a place in a graduate program on completion of your University of Melbourne undergraduate degree.
There are a number of different categories of guaranteed entry pathway, each with a different combination of requirements as outlined in the table below.
Please note that a large proportion of offers into graduate programs at the University of Melbourne will continue to go to students who are not necessarily eligible for a Guaranteed Entry Pathway. These offers are based on performance in undergraduate studies and other applicable selection criteria.
For more information on academic prerequisites and other selection criteria, refer to the University's Course Search tool.
The University offers four types of guaranteed entry pathways to our professional entry graduate courses. For each pathway, you must enrol in an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne to be eligible.
Who is eligible?
Would you like to begin your undergraduate degree at Melbourne with the security of knowing a graduate place is reserved for you?
The following guaranteed entry pathways into graduate study are available to domestic and international students who complete an Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in Australia. Eligible students must enrol in a University of Melbourne undergraduate degree in the intake immediately following Year 12, or be granted a deferral by the University. Students who have transferred from another university are not eligible for a guaranteed entry pathway.
